Job summary

GA Telesis is seeking a 2nd Shift Aircraft Painter to help maintain high-quality standards in our paint shop under GA Telesis processes. The role focuses on preparing articles for paint work, safely within schedule, and meeting quality expectations.

Eligibility requires U.S. citizenship or permanent residency. Responsibilities include masking, sanding, glazing, sealant work, and equipment operation with strict adherence to safety rules.

Qualifications

• Pass Pulmonary Function Test to obtain respirator certification.
• Two years of related experience; relevant experience in commercial/automotive refinishing acceptable.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and interpret a variety of written, oral, and diagram instructions.

Responsibilities

• Mask, sand, and prepare the article for paint application.
• Apply glaze and sealing compounds in preparation for the final painting.
• Operate and maintain all types of preparation and priming equipment.
• Mix paints and primers.
• Perform leading-edge sealant work in final detail.
• Comply with all safety and housekeeping policies.
• Use personal protective equipment.
• Care for and maintain shop equipment and tools as assigned.
• Comply with Paint shop standard practices.
• Comply with hazardous material disposal procedures.
• Perform other duties as required.

• Two years of related experience. Relevant experience gained in commercial/automotive refinishing is acceptable.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
