Job summary

Martin's Snacks is seeking a reliable packer for the second shift from 2pm to 10pm to prepare finished chips for shipment. You will pack bags into boxes, check seals and weights, and ensure correct carton labeling while maintaining a clean, safe work area.

The role requires attention to detail, the ability to lift boxes, and steady work in a busy production plant. Education: high school diploma or GED; 3–6 months related experience or an equivalent combination.

Responsibilities

• Packs bags into boxes at rates up to 80 bags per minute.
• Counts bags per case and sorts by weight and date code.
• Lifts boxes onto conveyors and palletizes on skid.
• Spot checks seals, weight, code date and overall appearance.
• Sorts used cardboard and stocks cartons for lines.
• Stickers sale priced items and inspects finished chips.
• Cleans machines, conveyors, bins, walls and floors.
• Reports problems with equipment, product or packaging to management.

• Packs up to 80 bags per minute into boxes.
• Counts number of bags that go into each case.
• Lifts boxes onto conveyers.
• Palletizes boxes onto skid.
• Spot checks seals, weight, code date and overall appearance of finished packages.
• Sorts used cardboard.
• Supplies packing lines with cartons.
• Stickers sale priced items as needed.
• Inspects finished potato chips.
• Cleans machines, conveyors, chip bins, walls and floors as needed.
• Recognizes problems with equipment, product, or packaging and immediately reports to management.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High School diploma or general equivalency diplomas (GED) and,
• Three to six months related experience and/or training or;
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.
