Qualifications

• Warehousing and material handling experience preferred.
• Must obtain certification to operate required motorized equipment.
• Clear oral and written communication skills; legible handwriting.
• Adequate manual dexterity and multi-limb coordination.
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions.
• Basic measurement skills for length/width/height/weight; basic math.
• Basic arithmetic to convert decimals/fractions.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, manage time.
• Ability to make sound decisions using knowledge and judgment.
• Ability to develop good working relationships with supervisors and co-workers.

Responsibilities

• Complete basic, routine tasks with detailed instructions.
• Move inventory or equipment, fill customer orders, pull material from racks, unload incoming material, load trucks and/or customer vehicles, and help maintain the warehouse.
• Receive and place/return items into stock locations.
• Pull and assemble orders based on shipping orders or documentation.
• Tag material for proper identification and completes required documentation.
• Move material using forklift, side loader, or crane.
• Operate yard truck for loading and unloading trailers.
• Keep the work area clean, safe, and orderly.
• Sort and place material on racks or bins by size, type, or product code.
• Spot check inventory; perform daily or ad hoc tagging checks.
• Report irregularities to supervisor.
• Restock material.
• Occasionally drive local deliveries (non-DOT).
• Adhere to safety and quality standards.
