Job summary

Timken Distribution Center in Duncan, SC is seeking a 2nd Shift Machine Packaging Operator. Work hours are Monday–Friday, 3pm–11pm with overtime as required. You will operate packaging machines, verify part numbers, and ensure product quality for bearings and assemblies.

Applicants should have high school level education, be able to lift up to 55 lb with assistance, and be comfortable using handheld RF scanners. Benefits start on day one, with paid time off and education reimbursement offered.

Qualifications

• Experience operating packaging or manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to read production forms and safety instructions.
• Capable of standing for long periods and lifting up to 55 pounds with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Operate packaging machines and inspect product quality.
• Verify quantities and part numbers; correct errors to ensure accuracy.
• Stage materials, replenish supplies, and maintain consistent packaging speed.
• Set up and troubleshoot packaging equipment as needed.
• Use handheld RF scanners to verify packaging requirements.
• Remove finished cartons from conveyors and perform final inspection.
• Package items into cartons and route via conveyor to the next stage.
• Coordinate with other areas to resolve issues promptly.
• Complete standard forms and keep work area tidy.
• Follow safety rules and wear protective equipment at all times.
• Assist with general duties as required.
