Job summary

Pepsi Bottling Ventures LLC is hiring a Warehouse Associate to support PBV warehouse operations. You will pull, load, unload, sort, and palletize goods, while ensuring accuracy and safety across multiple stations.

Qualifications

  • At least six months forklift experience preferred.

  • Able to read product labels and load ticket instructions.

  • Perform check-in/check-out duties and keep proper records.
  • Count goods and handle pallet building, staging, and loading.
  • Operate yard switcher and trucks for loading/unloading bays.
  • Interact with warehouse management systems for recordkeeping.

Warehouse Associate – PBV Warehouse Operations

Safely and efficiently performs a variety of duties within PBV’s warehouse operations to support both internal and external customers and meet business goals and demands. Duties include pulling, loading, unloading, sorting, staging, stacking, building pallets, wrapping, transporting, counting, performing quality control checks, dumping, rework, replenishing, and handling PBV products, raw materials, packaging, and other warehouse goods.

Responsibilities
  • Verifies accuracy and quality of products that are received from vendors/suppliers and shipped to customers.
  • Performs all check-in/check-out duties and maintains proper records (Bill of Ladings, receivers, pick tickets, and other standard operating procedures).
  • Counts goods returned to the plant by sales and delivery personnel that are damaged, full, or empty.
  • Safely operates the yard switcher and automatic/straight trucks to loading/unloading bays.
  • Interacts with automation systems, screens, voice pick system, paper pick tickets, and other warehouse management systems to verify and record product.
  • Builds, finishes, and verifies accuracy of pallets or places product on automatic conveyors in proper order to ensure accurate load outs and inventory counts.
  • Identifies machine faults, troubleshoots, corrects system errors/issues, and performs basic cleaning and maintenance on automation systems.
  • Safely operates various warehouse material handling/moving equipment to store, stage, retrieve, replenish, load or unload product and materials.
  • Performs all required safety and pre-trip checks on assigned machinery.
  • Performs janitorial tasks as necessary to maintain a clean and organized space.
  • Adheres to Good Manufacturing Practices and food safety rules and guidelines.
  • Ensures accuracy and quality of work.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Must be able to pass the forklift skills assessment and safely operate PBV Material Handling Equipment.
  • At least six months forklift experience preferred.
  • Computer/Human Machine Interface skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Good math, reading, writing, and communication skills.
  • Sorting and grouping skills.
  • Must be able to read and understand product labels and load ticket instructions.
  • Must be able to count large quantities of products and materials.
  • Must be able to read/hear and understand procedures for performing work.
  • Must be able to work in a warehouse environment that is not climate controlled with exposure to hot/humid or cold weather conditions.
Essential Mental and Physical Functions
  • Repetitive and fast paced work for prolonged periods requiring frequent mental or visual effort or alertness.
  • Lifting up to 50 pounds constantly (67%-100%) and occasionally (0%-33%) required to sit, read, climb, reach, kneel, bend, push, crawl, pull cases of product, walk, and stand.
Equipment Used
  • Yard switcher, tractors & trailers, dock plates, bay doors, floor scrubber, walkie-rider, forklift (single and double), palletizer, wrapper, HSPA Claw, cardboard baler, automated conveyors, paper and pen, dump bins, telephone, radios, screens, lights, and buzzers.
Language Skills

Must be able to speak, read, and write proficient English.
