Job summary

Sun Polymers is seeking a 2nd shift Packaging Operator to support the packaging of acrylic/polyester resins. This role involves robotic and manual packaging and follows a rotating schedule that includes every other weekend.

Training for all shifts will be conducted on first shift (8:30a-5p) for up to 45 days. The position emphasizes adherence to safety guidelines and QEHS policies in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to speak, read, and write in English is required.
• Manufacturing/Industrial work environment experience preferred.
• Machine operation experience.
• Strong team-player.

Responsibilities

• Manage a robotic/palletizing packaging conveyor system.
• Perform packaging duties such as manual lifting, filing bags, sealing, labeling, and sorting resin.
• Load packaging machine with supplies, such as bags, shrink wrap spools, and ties.
• Operate control panel to robotic equipment.
• Move product around using a forklift and bin system.
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
• Adhere to safety regulations (OSHA/ISO) and QEHS policies.
• Other duties as assigned; cross training provided.

Role and Responsibilities

Our manufacturing company is hiring 2nd (3p-11:30p) shift Packaging Operators for packaging of a variety of manufactured acrylic/polyester resins. The Packer position is a support role for several areas of manufacturing, including but not limited to quality and assembly. This position is on a rotating schedule to include every other weekend. Training for all shifts will be conducted on first shift (8;30a-5p) for up to 45 days.

Packaging Operators are responsible for robotic and manual packing operation of finished resin products. Packaging Operators are required to adhere to plant safety guidelines and standards. We are looking for Packaging Operators who can perform under direct supervision to take our products to the next level in terms of our QEHS policy.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage a robotic/palletizing packaging conveyor system
• Perform packaging duties such as manual lifting, filing bags, sealing, labeling, and sorting resin.
• Load packaging machine with supplies, such as bags, shrink wrap spools, and ties.
• Operate control panel to robotic equipment.
• Move product around using a forklift and bin system.
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
• Adhere to safety regulations.
• Understand and follow basic verbal and written instructions.
• Adhere to OSHA, ISO as well as all Federal, State and local laws and regulations
• Other duties as assigned
• Assist in other departments as needed; cross training provided

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Working hours will be spent in factory and warehouse.
• Will be required to stand for long periods of time.
• Moderate to heavy physical activity such as walking and lifting up to 55 pounds.
• May also engage in frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, and pulling of parts and part containers.
