Job summary

Amcor is hiring a Material Handler to rotate duties such as color changes, transporting product, and floor maintenance on the production floor. This role is a great training ground for a technical position.

Starting pay is $21.53/hr plus a $0.75 shift differential. Candidates should be able to lift 35 pounds, ascend/descend ladders, stand for long periods, and differentiate colors. Forklift experience and a valid driver’s license are a plus; weekend shifts may be required.

• Must be able to be on feet for entire shift and bend, stoop and stretch regularly.
• Must be able to differentiate color.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Doing color changes
• Transporting product and raw material around the production floor with a pallet jack
• Sorting and palletizing packed boxes for shipping

Starting Pay: $21.53/hr + $0.75 shift differential

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to lift 35 pounds regularly.
• Ability to climb up and down ladders.
• Must be able to be on feet for entire shift and be able to bend, stoop and stretch regularly.
• Must be able to differentiate color.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

• Good work and attendance record
• Ability to work extended shifts and weekends as necessary
• Ability to work with limited supervision
• Good safety record
• Valid Driver's license
• Forklift truck experience a plus
• Good general level of reading comprehension and basic math skills
