Job summary

Regeneron seeks a Quality Control Supervisor (Microbiology) for the 2nd shift in Rensselaer, NY. The role focuses on environmental, personnel, and utility monitoring, with responsibility for tests and release activities to ensure medicines are safe before patients receive them worldwide.

The incumbent will coordinate QC laboratory activities, review results, and drive improvement through audits, coaching, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Life Sciences or related field; 5+ years in pharmaceutical microbiology.
• Must be able to work 2nd shift Tue-Sat, 2 PM - 10:30 PM.
• Supervisory/leadership experience required.
• Knowledge of environmental monitoring, aseptic techniques and GMP.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate testing and monitoring activities within the QC lab and manufacturing facility.
• Review test results, procedures, protocols, and quality system records.
• Attend cross-functional meetings to stay informed of business needs.
• Organize lab investigations and assay troubleshooting as needed.
• Support internal and regulatory audits.
• Ensure safety and current GMP standards are maintained.
• Executive personnel management: performance evaluations, development, scheduling time off.
• Communicate with management on complex matters and support lab goals.
• Drive and manage projects within the group.
• Coach team members in troubleshooting microbiology methods.
