Job summary

Smithfield Foods, Inc. is hiring Material Handlers/Powered Equipment Operators to support safe, efficient production lines. You will operate forklifts and related equipment, move product through the facility, and assist our teams in meeting quality and safety standards.

Starting pay is $22.28 per hour, with a $1.00 per hour shift differential for second shift (Mon-Thurs 7 PM–5:30 AM). Comprehensive health insurance, retirement benefits, and education benefits are available to eligible employees.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Certifications for equipment may be required during qualification period.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 60 lbs and standing for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Support a safe and efficient production line and meet quality standards.
• Assist coworkers and follow safety procedures.
