Job summary

CompX Grayslake is seeking a Material Handler for the 2nd shift in Grayslake, IL. This full-time role involves preparing parts for shipping, loading/unloading trucks, inspecting contents, and managing material transfers within the stockroom.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience using ERP systems is a plus.
• Ability to operate powered equipment like forklift, pallet jack, tugger.

Responsibilities

• Prepare parts for shipping to outside vendors and customers.
• Load and unload packages from incoming trucks.
• Inspect contents for damage.
• Receive, pick/pull, and ship material via UPS, FedEx, etc.
• Deliver parts to respective areas in the plant.
• Transfer material in/out of stockroom.
• Verify packages against orders and invoices.
• Perform cycle counts and transact material in ERP.
• Track goods using computer systems.
