Job summary

Fortress Nutrition, LLC is seeking a 2nd Shift Material Handler to support our warehouse operations in Wisconsin. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of material handling experience, forklift and cherry picker familiarity, and a solid work history.

Training hours are 2:00pm–10:30pm, Monday–Friday, with overtime as production requires. Responsibilities include inventory control, pulling materials, stocking, and preparing shipments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of material handling experience required.
• Basic computer skills (MS Office, Excel, Word).
• Excellent organizational, time management and communication skills.
• Ability to manage inventory and adapt to changing priorities.
• Punctuality, reliability and strong work ethic.
• Must meet production standards and follow work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials in stock and recording locations.
• Pull and verify materials listed on production orders.
• Deliver and open materials to maintain in-process inventory at work centers.
• Stack and store products safely in designated areas.
• Document material and supply disposition by recording units delivered and locations.
• Receive credit‑return material by verifying codes, lot numbers, and quantities.
• Prepare finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, and loading products.
• Document shipments by recording units shipped and keep equipment in good working order.

Fortress Nutrition is actively hiring for a 2nd Shift Material Handler to work in our Warehouse.

The right candidate will have previous experience in Material Handling in the Food & Beverage Manufacturing industry, prior experience with Stand‑Up Forklift Equipment and Cherry Picker experience, and a stable work history with previous employers.

Work Schedule

Training Hours: 2nd Shift: 2:00pm‑10:30pm – Monday‑Friday (not eligible for overtime until trained; once trained overtime and weekends are mandatory based on production schedule)

Standard Hours: 2nd Shift: 2:00pm‑10:30pm (12:30am) Monday‑Friday; overtime and weekends (mandatory based on production schedule)

What You’ll Do:

• Maintain inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock, recording location of inventory.
• Locate materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders.
• Maintain in‑process inventory at work centers by delivering and opening materials and supplies.
• Efficiently stack and safely store products in their designated area.
• Document material and supply disposition by recording units delivered and location of units.
• Receive credit‑return material and supplies from production by verifying materials and supplies code, lot number and quantity, placing materials in stock.
• Prepare finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product.
• Document product shipments by recording units shipped.
• Maintain material handling equipment by completing pre‑use inspections and making operator repairs.
• Comply with OSHA standards; learn and adhere to FDA and GMP standards.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work environment.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.

What We’re Looking For:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of material handling (preferably stand‑up reach truck) experience is required.
• Basic computer skills (MS Office, Excel, and Word).
• Excellent organizational, time management and communication skills.
• Ability to deal with complexity, analyze information, and manage inventory control.
• Punctuality, reliability and an exceptional work ethic are essential.
• Must be able to meet production standards and follow work instructions.
• Ability to solve problems, work independently and collaboratively with others.
• Ability to adapt easily to changes in priorities.
• May work overtime, evenings, or weekends as directed and authorized by management.
• Frequently required to stand, walk, talk or hear, reach above shoulders, use hands to handle, grasp, pinch or touch objects, controls, tools or equipment, kneel, crouch and use feet to operate machinery.
• Occasionally required to lift, carry, move, push or pull materials, product or equipment up to 50 pounds; bend at the waist; climb or balance.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, up to eight (8) or more hours in a single shift.
