Job summary

Ferrellgas, through its Blue Rhino division, is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the 2nd shift in Kansas City, KS. The role covers inspection, maintenance, and repair of equipment with emphasis on safety and productivity.

Expect overtime as needed and a pay rate of $25.00 per hour. The position supports preventive maintenance, parts inventory, and technical guidance to production staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical training / technical degree a plus.
• 1+ years of maintenance / mechanical experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Basic computer skills.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Mandatory overtime when necessary.
• Demonstrated track record of being a reliable and dependable worker.
• Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States

Responsibilities

• Ensures daily plant and equipment inspections are conducted and documented appropriately.
• Assists in developing preventive maintenance schedules for all equipment, and ensures schedules are adhered to and documented.
• Monitors equipment for unusual sounds to detect malfunction.
• Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical and electrical issues.
• Assists in maintaining spare parts inventory.
• Dismantles defective equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
• Provides technical information and operational guidance to production employees.
• Follows safety rules & procedures including OSHA standards and the Company Process Safety Management program.
• Performs and records periodic testing.
• Maintains a clear sense of priority and focus in support of team performance.
• Identifies improvements in the process's equipment.Assists leadership with problem resolution and correction of equipment deficiencies.
• Constantly considers long term upgrades / repairs.
• Additional tasks as assigned.
