Job summary

Pentair is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the Manitowoc, WI area to install, troubleshoot, and maintain robotic systems and automation-enabled production equipment on the 2nd shift. You will interpret schematics, perform diagnostics, and ensure electrical safety across facilities.

The role requires hands-on experience with PLCs, CMMS, and mechanical systems, plus the ability to work extended shifts and lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, and industrial automation.
  • Experience with robotic systems and safety protocols.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics.
  • Familiarity with CMMS systems and basic computer literacy.
  • Welding, machining, or fabrication skills are a plus.
  • Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods in warm, humid conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot robotic systems (e.g., FANUC, ABB) and automated equipment.
  • Support integration of automation technologies including sensors, actuators, and PLCs.
  • Perform diagnostics and calibration of robotic arms and vision systems.
  • Install and maintain electrical panels, motor controls, and power distribution systems.
  • Interpret and work from electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Perform electrical safety checks and ensure compliance with NEC and OSHA standards.
  • Execute preventive and predictive maintenance on production equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Fabricate and install custom fixtures and tooling to support production.
  • Maintain building systems including HVAC, lighting, and compressed air.
  • Respond to maintenance requests from office and non-manufacturing areas.
