Job summary

Stier Supply Company is seeking a hands-on 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician to keep equipment, machinery, and the facility operating safely and efficiently. You will perform reactive and preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, and assist with electrical tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

This role requires mechanical aptitude, attention to safety, and teamwork. We offer weekly pay and a benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and a 401(k) with company

Qualifications

• Mechanically inclined with strong problem-solving skills.
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems, construction, and manufacturing equipment.
• Broad understanding of mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team.
• Strong communication skills.
• Organized with attention to detail.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment with multiple priorities.
• Industrial, electrical, or welding certifications and/or a technical or post-secondary degree are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform reactive and preventive maintenance on machinery and facility systems.
• Diagnose issues, make repairs, and adjust machinery as needed.
• Assist with dismantling equipment to repair or replace defective components.
• Support installation of new plant equipment and perform installation tasks independently when able.
• Assist with electrical projects and perform minor electrical repairs.
• Maintain building systems, including lighting, ballasts, and elements.
• Operate shop tools, equipment, and maintenance-related machinery within skill level.
• Keep shop areas clean, organized, stocked, and inventoried.
• Conduct preventive maintenance tasks safely and on schedule.
• Assist other departments as needed.
• Inspect and assist work performed by outside contractors.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Respond to assigned repairs, emergency maintenance, and preventive maintenance needs.

Education

Industrial, electrical, or welding certifications and/or a technical or post-secondary degree
