Job summary

Tanis Brush Incorporated is seeking a Maintenance Associate to keep equipment, facilities, and production processes running safely and reliably. You will diagnose downtime, perform preventive maintenance, and support continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Expect a second shift (Mon-Thurs 2:45 p.m. – 12:45 a.m.) with compensation ranging from $26-30 per hour and eligibility for an annual bonus based on performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required; technical training preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and schematics.
• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including LOTO safety procedures.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve equipment downtime to keep production moving.
• Perform preventive maintenance on machinery and facility systems.
• Complete electrical and mechanical repairs following LOTO safety procedures.
• Replace, sharpen, and maintain machine components such as blades and cutting devices.
• Support facility maintenance projects including conduit installation and infrastructure improvements.
• Assist with equipment changeovers, setups, and operational readiness.
• Use precision measuring tools to verify equipment performance and quality.
• Follow Quality Management System and ISO requirements for maintenance activities.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
• Contribute ideas for process improvements and assist with developing work instructions.
