Job summary

Hospital Central Services Cooperative, Inc. is seeking a Mechanic (2nd class) for the Baltimore, MD plant. The role covers preventive maintenance and repairs to production and environmental equipment to ensure safe production standards.

The position starts at $30/hr plus differentials, with full-time benefits including medical, dental, vision, and retirement plans. Second shift, Monday-Friday 2pm-10pm, requires ability to work overtime.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of practical experience or technical training in electrical and/or mechanical maintenance.
• Black or Blue Seal boiler license preferred.
• Understanding of schematics and wiring diagrams; PPE use preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational and time management skills; bilingual English/Spanish is a bonus.
• Detail-oriented with analytical and problem-solving abilities; able to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on all equipment and make necessary repairs or replacements.
• Interpret and anticipate problems caused by equipment malfunction and take independent action.
• Troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical failures to complete repairs.
• Carry out electrical and mechanical maintenance and repair tasks.
• Maintain a daily record of accomplishments.
