Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our York, NE team. You will operate CNC lathes, mills, grinders, hones, and other equipment, perform finish work, and mark parts in production.

You will set up and run multiple machines to convert raw materials into precision semi-finished goods within print tolerance. Responsibilities include obtaining inspection certification through on‑the‑job training and working on second shift with a schedule that runs Monday–Friday, 3:00 pm –

Qualifications

  • HS diploma or GED and related technical training with at least 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Experience reading blueprints and using measurement tools.
  • Willingness to obtain inspection certification through on-the-job training.

Job description

Collins Aerospace, York Ne, is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team.

What You Will Do:
  • You will operate CNC lathes, mills, grinders, hones, and other specialized CNC and manual equipment while performing finish work and the marking of parts in various stages of production.
  • You will be expected to set up and run machines on a wide variety of operations involving multiple machines that convert raw materials into precision semi-finished goods within print tolerance specifications.
  • You will be required to obtain inspection certification through on-the-job training & testing.

2nd Shift: Monday - Friday, 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm

Training Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 3:00 pm for a limited time pending your work shift and your trainer's work shift.

What You Will Learn:

Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) or vocational/ technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Experience with measurement equipment, i.e. gauges, calipers, etc.
  • Experience with basic hand tools.
  • Experience with the computer and multiple computer applications (including email, internet, and other job-specific applications).
  • Experience with math skills, including adding and subtracting decimals
  • Experience reading, interpreting, and following blueprints.
