Job summary

UFP Salisbury, LLC is seeking a Machine Operator I to set up and operate a production machine in accordance with established procedures. You will secure materials and supplies and ensure safe, efficient operation.

Responsibilities include completing work area setup, feeding the machine, stacking products, maintaining a clean work area, and keeping production records. Candidates should have at least 6 months of manufacturing experience, basic math skills, and be at least 18 years old.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months of experience in manufacturing and/or assembling.
• Working knowledge of basic math is preferred.
• High school diploma/GED preferred but not required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Completes work area setup.
• Operates and feeds the machine safely and efficiently.
• Stacks finished products and labels or covers components when required.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work environment and production records.
• Performs pre-shift startup equipment inspection and reports issues.

Job Summary Machine Operator I is responsible for the set up and operation of a production machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. Secures and maintains material and supplies required on the operation.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

• Completes work area set up.
• Operates and feeds the machine in a safe and efficient manner, and according to established procedures.
• Stacks completed products in accordance with established procedures, and if required, may cover, label and band components/finished product.
• Ensures work area is safe, clean and organized, and that equipment is safe to operate.
• Completes pre-shift/startup equipment inspection checklist and reports any problems or concerns.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work environment.
• Maintains production records as required.
• Checks materials and finished products to ensure compliance with standards.
• Performs duties consistent with established safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards.
• Participates in safety, CI and other programs and meetings.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED is preferred but not required.
