Job summary

Meyer Utility Structures in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a 2nd Shift Lead Welder to guide a welding team. You will ensure daily work is completed on time and safely, lead by example, and solve problems proactively.

Responsibilities include coordinating with the bay supervisor, enforcing safety protocols, forecasting production, and maintaining quality documentation. Strong leadership and welding experience are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in metal fabrication or welding facility preferred.
• Strong reading of blueprints and layouts for transmission poles.
• Experience scheduling daily bay production.
• Experience dispatching poles in/out of shop.
• Proficient in Excel/Word/Outlook.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
• Demonstrated dependability and leadership in prior roles.

Responsibilities

• Assist bay supervisor with daily expectations for quality, production, safety and on-time deliveries.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed and audits completed.
• Help manage and forecast daily production operations for heavy industrial products.
• Set and manage production schedules based on demand and resources.
• Address obstacles to meet safety, production, efficiency and quality metrics.
• Ensure paperwork is completed accurately for each work product.
• Coach team on work quality and welding processes to meet goals.
