Job summary

Garelick Farms, part of Dairy Farmers of America, is seeking a Lab Technician for the 2nd shift (Tue–Sat, 1:00PM–9:30PM). Rate is $23.75/hr plus $1.50/hr shift differential. You will perform product testing, sample preparation, and QA activities to ensure food safety and quality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with food manufacturing, laboratory, QA, or related work experience.
• Up to 1 year of food manufacturing lab or QA experience preferred.
• Certification and/or license may be required during employment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality of batch preparation and QC activities to meet specs.
• Test incoming and outgoing products for suitability and compliance.
• Perform sample setup, sorting, preparation and cleanup.
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory instrumentation as directed.
• Notify supervisor of out-of-range values and monitor quality trends.
• Maintain lab records and complete paperwork accurately and timely.
• Prepare reports of results and document findings in systems.
• Maintain process control by monitoring statistical information.
• Follow DFA GMP and all health, safety, and sanitation requirements.
