Job summary

Service-Management-Systems in Silver Spring, MD is seeking a Lead Cleaner for the 2nd shift to keep commercial premises clean and orderly. Duties include supervising cleaning tasks, assisting with scheduling, and performing routine housekeeping tasks across rooms, hallways, restrooms, lobbies, and stairways.

Qualifications

• Education/Experience: Prior experience in janitorial housekeeping preferred.
• Language Ability: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Math Ability: Basic arithmetic with dollars and weights.
• Reasoning Ability: Simple two-step instructions and basic problem solving.
• Computer Skills: Basic computer skills desired but not required.
• Certificates and Licenses: No certifications needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist Facility Manager with scheduling.
• Assist with administrative duties.
• Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and locker rooms and other work areas.
• Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.
• Moving chairs, tables, and heavy items as needed.
• Operates various cleaning equipment and lifts.
• Washes windows, door panels, and sills.
