Qualifications

• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
• Able to operate cleaning equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize restrooms including showers and restock supplies.
• Clean and maintain offices, guard shack, tech shop, and breakroom.
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors throughout the facility.
• Empty trash and recycling; replace liners and monitor supply levels.
• Dust and wipe desks, counters, windows, and surfaces; sanitize high-touch points.
• Assist with event setup and breakdown; report issues to supervisor.
• Perform yard cleanup as directed and support maintenance as needed.

Job Description:Janitor/Custodian

Department: Facilities Maintenance Job Status: Part-Time Reports to:Site Manager

POSITION SUMMARY

As a Custodian, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES

• Clean and sanitize all restrooms, including driver showers; restock soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
• Clean and maintain offices, the guard shack, the tech shop, and the employee breakroom.
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors throughout the facility.
• Empty all trash and recycling receptacles and replace liners.
• Dust and wipe down desks, counters, and surfaces; clean windows, glass doors, and mirrors.
• Sanitize high-touch points (door handles, light switches, railings)
• Wipe down and keep breakroom appliances clean.
• Restock breakroom consumables (paper plates, cups, utensils, napkins, etc.)
• Receive and stock facility supplies.
• Monitor janitorial supply levels and notify the Maintenance Supervisor when stock is low.
• Perform yard cleanup as directed – picking up broken seals, trash, and debris.
• Assist with event and meeting setup (tables, chairs, breakdown and cleanup).
• Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, and needed repairs to the supervisor.

EDUCATION

High School Diploma or GED required.

EXPERIENCE

Previous experience in cleaning, maintenance, or other related fields

QUALIFICATIONS

• Motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Reliable, punctual, and detail oriented.
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Prior custodial/janitorial experience preferred but not required.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
• Comfortable working safely in a warehouse/cross-dock environment around dock traffic and equipment.

COMPUTER SKILLS

Basic computer skills and abilities to operate and utilize current diagnostic tools.

Physical Requirements

• Able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach for the duration of the shift.
• Able to lift and carry up to 50lbs.
• Able to operate cleaning equipment and use cleaning chemicals safely.
