Job summary

Taylor Print & Visual Impressions, a Taylor Corporation company, is seeking an Equipment Operator to join our Bloomington, IL team. This role focuses on operating and maintaining printing press equipment, ensuring quality and efficiency on the 2nd shift.

You will coordinate with the production team to meet deadlines, monitor colors, and uphold safety standards while advancing through a family-owned, growth-focused organization with a strong benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and operate printing press equipment in line with job specs and quality standards.
• Perform daily/weekly/monthly maintenance on equipment for optimum output.
• Prepare inks for proper color and consistency.
• Check paper type, size, color, and quantity.
• Check plates for correct format.
• Visually inspect forms during runs for quality.
• Coordinate with Production Team to prioritize jobs and meet deadlines.
• Maintain knowledge of safety requirements for job and equipment.

Your Opportunity:

Taylor Print & Visual Impressions, a Taylor Corporation company, is looking for an Equipment Operator to join the Bloomington, IL Team.

Your Responsibilities:

• Prepare and operate printing press equipment, in compliance with job specifications and in accordance with company quality standards and procedures
• Performs daily/weekly/monthly maintenance on equipment to ensure optimum output
• Prepare inks for proper color and consistency
• Check paper for type, size, color and quantity
• Check plates for correct format
• Visually inspect forms throughout run for quality
• Coordinate with Production Team to produce and prioritize jobs, and when necessary reorganize to meet deadline changes and updates
• Maintain knowledge of safety requirements of job and equipment

Your Shift:

2nd Shift, 3:00pm - 11:30pm, Monday - Friday

You Must Have:

• Ability to set adjustable mechanism to required tolerances
• Math skills and attention to detail
• Mechanical ability
• Good reading ability

• High School Diploma or the equivalent
• Must have ability to work with very close tolerances
• Ability to effectively communicate with team members
