Job summary

Kraft Heinz Kendallville Plant is hiring for a 2nd Shift HVAC technician. The role focuses on maintaining HVAC, ammonia, steam, plumbing, and pneumatic systems on a non-union site with 280 employees across 3 shifts.

Requires an associate degree or 3 years of related maintenance experience, strong safety focus, and ability to work overtime. Starting pay is $30.00/hour with skilled pay at $33.35/hour, plus comprehensive benefits including medical, 401k, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• General operational knowledge of HVAC, Ammonia Control Systems, Steam Systems, Plumbing and pneumatic systems.
• Must operate and hold certification for equipment used in ammonia functions and steam production.
• Associates degree or 3 years manufacturing maintenance experience required.

Responsibilities

• Read, interpret, and understand hydraulic blueprints and schematics accurately.
• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and steam systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and facilities; maintain logs.
• Repair ammonia systems following Kraft Heinz PSM policies.
• Use SAP to track orders and time worked.
