Kennametal Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Machine Operator II for the 2nd shift (3:00 pm - 11:00 pm) to run honing machines, both automated and manual, and to program/ troubleshoot via HMI.

The role emphasizes adherence to blueprints, setup accuracy, and safety procedures. Ideal candidates will have a HS diploma or GED, a 2-year technical degree preferred, and hands-on experience with honing equipment, inspections, and documenting production data.

Qualifications

• Must have High School diploma or GED; 2 year technical degree preferred.
• Experience setting up and operating honing machines.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings, and perform quality inspections.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate automated/robotic or manual honing machines.
• Program and troubleshoot robots using human machine interface (HMI).
• Perform changeovers, brush changes, and basic maintenance.
• Orient inserts before honing and verify visual characteristics.
• Perform quality examinations with magnifier scope and record results.
• Run insert, tooling and brush tests and document production data.
• Separate scrap from good inserts and ensure correct production information.
• Operate other equipment as needed.
