Job summary

Remedy Staffing's client is seeking several skilled forklift operators who can also work on a production line when needed. Location: NE Des Moines. 2nd Shift: 3:30PM-12AM (3:30PM-2AM during peak season).

Pay: $21.00/hour. Duties include loading, unloading, stacking, inventorying, and using a warehouse management system while maintaining safety and cleanliness. Work will be 50% forklift duties and 50% warehouse tasks such as cleaning, picking, and bagging.

Qualifications

• 2 years of sit-down forklift experience.
• Ability to lift 50-60 pounds throughout the day.
• Ability to read alphanumeric labels with high accuracy.
• Prioritizes safety.

Responsibilities

• Safely loads, unloads, moves and stacks product using a forklift or other material handling equipment.
• Properly utilizes a warehouse management system and maintains appropriate work documents.
• Safely picks, wraps, counts, weighs, inventories or tags products and materials.
• Safely loads outbound freight; receives inbound loads.
• Properly stages material within designated areas.
• Correctly inspects material handling equipment and performs basic maintenance to ensure safe operations.
• Properly inspects trailers prior to loading or unloading freight.
• Maintains the cleanliness and order of work areas.
• 50% forklift duties 50% warehouse (cleaning, picking, bagging)
