Job summary

Atkore in Philadelphia, PA is seeking a Shipping Forklift operator for a 2nd shift from 3PM to 11PM. You will operate a forklift in a regional distribution center, support inventory control and material handling, and uphold all safety and PPE requirements.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, PIT experience preferred, and willingness to work overtime. You’ll contribute to efficient shipping, receipt, and staging of materials in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent (preferred).
• Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) experience (preferred).
• Ability to work scheduled shift Monday–Friday.
• Ability to stand and work a 10‑hour shift in a non‑climate‑controlled manufacturing environment.
• Must be willing to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift to move materials and products within the distribution center.
• Maintain inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials in stock and recording locations.
• Pull and verify materials and supplies listed on production orders.
• Prepare finished stock for shipment including packing and loading.
• Perform pre‑use inspections on material‑handling equipment and carry out minor repairs as needed.
• Adhere to safety protocols, PPE requirements, and CI practices.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas.
• Support cross‑training across shop areas.
