Challenge Manufacturing is hiring for a 2nd Shift Material Handler in Richmond, KY. The role supports safe material handling, inventory accuracy, and timely delivery of products to designated locations.

You will operate a forklift and assist with loading, unloading, and transporting materials within the plant while following all safety procedures. Requirements include a High School diploma or GED and at least one month of related experience or training.

• Prior material handling experience is a plus.
• Ability to read and understand English safety instructions.

• Participates in needs analysis and attends and performs the requirements of scheduled training and educational programs identified for this position.
• Supports company continuous improvement activities as requested.
• Stops work on processes as appropriate and contains suspect or defective material or services to avoid further processing.
• Moves levers and presses pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus.
• Positions forks, lifting platform, or other lifting device under, over, or around loaded pallets or materials.
• Transports load to designated area and unloads and stacks material.
• Inventories materials on the work floor and supplies workers with materials as needed.
• Weighs materials or products and records weight on tags or production schedules.
• Loads or unloads materials onto or off of pallets or lifting device.
• Recharges batteries or replaces liquefied gas tank.
