Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. in Grandview, TX, is seeking a Forklift Operator I for the 2nd shift to move material between inventory and production, maintain accurate paperwork, and support production with timely material access.

You will perform pre-shift checks, follow forklift safety policies, keep yards organized, and participate in safety and continuous improvement programs. No previous forklift experience required, but licensing and basic math skills help; must be at least 18.

Qualifications

• Minimum 9th grade basic education; high school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Forklift licensing process to be successfully completed.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Forklift driving experience preferred but not required.
• Working knowledge of basic math and inventory techniques preferred.

Responsibilities

• Move material between inventory and production stations.
• Band, wrap and/or label finished goods and update paperwork.
• Move finished goods from production to inventory yard or warehouse.
• Assist production with bottlenecks and material needs.
• Perform general preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Complete pre-shift startup equipment checklist and report issues.
