Penske Logistics is hiring a Forklift Operator for the 2nd shift at our Houston, TX location. The role involves staging, sorting, and moving products within the warehouse, using a warehouse management system, and performing quality control.

The position requires a safety-conscious attitude and the ability to follow detailed instructions. Compensation includes a wage of $20.00 per hour with a $1.00 shift differential.

Qualifications

• No prior warehouse experience required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Proficient reading skills and ability to follow directions.
• Ability to work independently, multi-tasking, time management.
• Willingness to work overtime.
• Regular, predictable attendance is essential.
• Safety sensitive position.
• Background check and drug screening required.

Responsibilities

• Stage and sort products for loading.
• Move materials within the warehouse.
• Scan products electronically using warehouse software.
• Quality control and identify damaged items.
• Complete daily logs and maintain records.
• Attach tags to containers; read work orders for tasks.
• Record units moved and distribute items per schedules.
• Operate forklifts and pallet jacks where applicable.
• Support supervisor with miscellaneous tasks.
