Job summary

Lineage Logistics is seeking a forklift operator for the 2nd shift in Chicago, Monday through Friday, 4pm to 12:30am. Ideal candidates have at least two years of stand-up forklift experience and must be able to work in cold and dry storage environments.

Pay ranges from $16.97 to $28.65 per hour, plus a $1.50 shift differential for eligible shifts. Responsibilities include operating forklifts, loading/unloading, maintaining equipment, and performing safety inspections.

Qualifications

• Basic math skills.
• Ability to understand instructions in the country language or as defined by Lineage Logistics.
• Ability to work in temperatures as low as -20 Fahrenheit/-25 Celsius in cold storage or up to 100 Fahrenheit/37 Celsius in dry storage with provided PPE.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs./18 kgs.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends if needed.

Responsibilities

• Position forks, lifting devices under, over, or around pallets and materials; transport, load and unload to designated areas.
• Record weight, counts, and condition of items via RF system.
• Complete daily forklift maintenance/check sheets.
• Lead safety inspections on chalking and truck-related processes.
• Communicate with semi-truck drivers to ensure safety precautions.
