Job summary

The Hillman Group in Lewisville, TX seeks a Material Handler to move materials and finished products using powered equipment. You will load/unload trucks, stock the bulk area, and provide replenishment to workstations, ensuring accurate picking and transfer of goods.

You must have a high school diploma or GED, material handling experience preferred, and forklift certification. Ability to read verbal and written instructions and operate hand scanners is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Material handling experience is strongly preferred.
• Forklift Certification required.
• Familiarity with part numbering systems is a plus.
• Able to operate a pallet jack, forklift, order picker and Drexel.
• Able to work accurately from verbal and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of powered, industrial equipment.
• Loads and unloads trucks.
• Ability to use a hand scanner.
• Picks-up incoming materials from the Receiving dock.
• Unloads and puts away stock in the Bulk storage area.
• Provides replenishment materials to workstations in a timely manner.
• Pulls and stocks correct product to appropriate boxes and pick locations.
• Transfers finished products to designated areas.
• Stacks empty skids and pallets in designated areas.
• Operates a manual and/or motorized pallet jack.
• Uses knowledge and experience to resolve basic operating problems; reports other problems to manager.
