Job summary

JobSquad Solutions Team is seeking a 2nd Shift – Food Industry Maintenance Tech to join our Bedford Park, IL operation.

You will maintain production equipment, support ovens and conveyors, and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems to minimize downtime. The role requires 2+ years in a bakery/food manufacturing environment, and bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Shifts are 2pm–10pm, with overtime and weekends as needed; HS diploma is required with Power Industrial Training a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Maintenance Technician experience.
• 2-5 years in industrial bakery or food manufacturing.
• Experience with electrical and mechanical systems.
• Familiar with ovens, packing lines, conveyors; plumbing, pneumatics and hydraulics.
• Electrical PLC diagnostics; welding MIG/TIG optional.
• Ability to lift 60 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Ensure operation of machinery to minimize downtime.
• Set up, adjust, maintain and repair production equipment.
• Support equipment such as ovens, packing lines and conveyors; plumbing, pneumatics and hydraulics.
• Perform electrical work and PLC diagnostics; MIG/TIG welding a plus.
• Maintain safety and quality; communicate effectively with team.
• Work overtime and weekends as needed.
