Responsibilities
  • Inspect final aluminum and brake component parts, ensuring they meet customer requirements using gauges, markers, fixtures, jigs, calipers or other measuring devices.
  • Support and aid in quality of parts per line(s), ensuring overall quality compliance.
  • Complete part quality checks in compliance with the standard for each model.
  • Review and disposition of defective parts.
  • Confirm check sheets are complete.
  • Perform testing as directed by the Quality team.
  • Work toward meeting company goals including OSHA safety compliance, ISO14001 environmental compliance, ethical and legal compliance, customer quality, production to plan and delivery performance.
Safety & Environment
  • Promote a safety‑first attitude and provide a safe work environment by following all required OSHA regulations (PPE, LOTO, Crane, Powered Lifts, Machine Guarding, Chemicals, Fall Protection, Fire Protection, Incident reporting, Respirator, Hearing conservation, Confined Spaces, and others).
  • Coordinate safety and environment repair activities.
Quality
  • Assist in ensuring parts knowledge and training is completed where needed.
  • Follow work instructions, point cards and other directions given.
  • Ensure quality and packaging requirements are met.
  • Ensure associates understand and follow all change point procedures and complete required documentation.
Delivery
  • Ensure accuracy and quantity of containers as packed for shipment.
  • Communicate any concerns to production management.
  • Use pallet jacks for material movement as required.
Productivity
  • Complete tasks in a timely manner.
  • Suggest and implement improvement ideas.
  • Be cross‑trained in various FGA positions in one or more departments.
Reporting
  • Support Business Plan Targets and monitor measurable goals based on Business Plan objectives.
  • Report quality issues to the quality department and production issues to the manufacturing department.
Preferred Skills
  • Blueprint reading.
  • Hand tools use.
  • Measuring tools experience.
  • Good problem‑solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build friendly work relationships.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing concepts, practices and procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other office programs.
Minimum Experience
  • HS Diploma or GED.
  • Previous experience in a related field 2–5 years.
  • Astemo experience (desired).

  • Zero quality claims.
  • Zero late shipments.
  • Zero safety incidents.
  • Other metrics as required to meet Business Plan objectives.
Physical Demands
  • Regularly required to stand, use hand to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls.
  • Occasionally required to walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk or hear.
  • Requires regular lifting of weights up to 5pounds and occasional lifting of up to 40pounds.
  • Requires repetitive lifting (>700 each shift) of weights up to 15pounds and occasional lifting of up to 40pounds.
