Job Summary:
- The Team Lead is responsible for ensuring their production assembly cell actively engages to meet daily customer demand and production schedules.
- The Production Team Lead provides effective training to the assembly cell and maintains safety and quality standards at all times.
- The role involves assembling products using hand and power tools, fixtures, work instructions, and test equipment to perform operations for correct assembly/testing of medical devices.
Work Arrangement:
- This position is designated as On-Site.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and prioritize staffing assignments with the supervisor and other team leads to meet customer demand and production schedules.
- Coordinate and execute employee training to ensure adherence to procedures and quality standards.
- Apply basic problem-solving skills to ensure stable operation of the work cell.
- Report issues related to quality, processes, equipment, materials, or labor to the Production Supervisor.
- Collaborate with support staff such as Technicians, Manufacturing Engineering, Production Supervisor, and Materials/Warehouse to resolve issues.
- Maintain, coordinate, and complete standard work procedures.
- Perform lot acceptance activities for the assembly cell.
- Update production metrics and facilitate team communication.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives with the Production Supervisor.
- Implement and promote lean manufacturing and 5S activities.
- Participate actively in the production assembly team and assemble products.
- Follow documented policies and procedures as per the company's Quality System.
- Adhere to detailed assembly instructions, processes, and procedures.
- Complete documentation required for business or regulatory compliance.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required, or equivalent education and experience.
- At least two years of related manufacturing experience.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
