Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a 2nd Shift General Production Worker in Ontario, CA to support foam and plastic container fabrication and assembly. The role involves operating a range of basic equipment, reading simple specifications, and ensuring quality and safety standards are met.

The job requires standing, lifting up to 20-30 lbs, and working 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. with overtime and occasional Saturdays based on client orders. It is a contract-to-hire position in a fully onsite facility.

Qualifications

• Experience performing basic fabrication and assembly in a production/manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and follow simple prints, drawings, and product specifications.
• Commitment to safety and accuracy in manufacturing tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform fabrication and assembly operations for foam and plastic containers.
• Pick parts from inventory to support production activities.
• Assist setup and operation of cutting equipment, drilling tools, saws, glue applicators and hand tools.
• Cut stock to correct dimensions and tolerances as instructed.
• Carry out gluing, taping, flame treating, and labeling operations as directed.
• Perform masking and painting tasks to meet product requirements.
• Review product specs to understand production needs.
• Conduct tests and inspections to verify quality.
• Notify supervisor of any out-of-spec conditions.
• Follow safety standards during production tasks.
• Use tape measure and basic math to ensure accurate cuts.
