Job summary

Cabinetworks Group is seeking a production associate in a fast-paced carpentry environment. You will perform inspections, audits, and measurements to ensure quality while collaborating with team members.

Applicants should have 1 year of production or carpentry experience, a high school diploma or GED, and proficiency with tape measures, calipers, and basic Microsoft Office tools. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Inspect and audit product processes on incoming, in-process, and finished goods.
  • Adhere to safety policies and work as part of a team.
  • Report to work regularly; overtime may be required.
  • Read and communicate in English clearly; use measuring tools as needed.

Job description

Starting at $18.69/hr (up to $21.14/hr)

Principal Functional Responsibilities
  • Must be able to understand instructions whether they are written or verbal, and follow said instructions.
  • Complete work with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Inspect and audit product processes on incoming product, internal process, product audits and finished product audits.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures,
  • Work in a safe manner and as part of a team.
  • Communicate verbally clearly and concisely.
  • Good problem solving skills.
  • Willingness to work overtime when required.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, reach, perform moderate to heavy repetitive lifting, and stand on feet at least nine hours per day.
  • It is an essential function of this position that you report to work on a regular basis.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
  • One year of production experience or similar in carpentry or fast paced, detail-oriented environment is preferred.
  • Two to three years of work experience.
  • Knowledge and application of safe work practices.
  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • Ability to read a tape measure & calipers.
  • Math & computer skills.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of all Cabinetworks Group wood character, machining, assembly and finishing.
  • Distinguish among colors and different species.
  • Possess basic Microsoft Office and computer capabilities including Excel, Word and LINCs.
  • Possess a basic knowledge the QMS to promote awareness and use by coworkers.
  • Read a tape measure and caliper.
  • Ability to read/write/communicate in English.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Self starter who works effectively without close supervision.
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged standing and repetitive motions, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling
  • May be required to frequently lift up to 25 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs
  • Hand dexterity and strength
  • Overtime is required, including weekends with little or no advance notice
  • May be required to work a flexible schedule
  • It is an essential function of this position to report to work on a regular basis.
