Job summary

Safety-Kleen San Diego, CA is seeking a Class A Driver to transport hazardous waste in full compliance with DOT and HAZMAT regulations. You will load/unload, adhere to weights, and operate company equipment in a safe manner.

The role requires a minimum Class A CDL with Hazmat, Tanker, Doubles, and Airbrake endorsements, strong customer service, and the ability to drive a manual transmission.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Minimum Class A CDL is required.
  • Hazmat, Tanker, Doubles, and Airbrake endorsements are required.
  • Ability to use a handheld device (ELD) is required.
  • Strong customer service skills are expected.
  • Ability to drive a manual transmission is expected.
  • Clean driving record is required.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.
  • Ensure proper loading and unloading of hazardous waste/non-hazardous waste (i.e., drums are properly segregated and loaded).
  • Adhere to weights and ensure proper utilization of Company equipment.
  • Adhere to DOT, HAZMAT, and RCRA requirements/regulations.
  • Work in and around tank farms and rail sites.

Safety-Kleen San Diego, CA is currently looking for a Class A Driver to join their team! As a Class A Driver, you will be responsible for the transportation of hazardous waste from a generator/facility to a Company facility and/or an outside disposal facility adhering to Department of Transportation (DOT) and hazardous waste regulations.
