Job summary

Saputo Cheese USA Inc. is seeking a 2nd Shift Distribution Supervisor in Wisconsin to oversee warehouse and shipping activities, drive productivity, and ensure safety and compliance.

You will schedule staff, coordinate CI efforts, and resolve issues across departments. The role requires a high school diploma (Bachelor’s preferred) and POSIX experience with SAP and PIT certification, plus strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or a minimum of 2 years plant experience in a warehouse setting.
  • Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Experience leading and following Safety/Security Policies and Procedures.
  • Lift truck certification or the ability to obtain a lift truck certification (Powered Industrial Trucks).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and computer-based applications, SAP a plus.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs; ability to lead others through change.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong team player and leader with the ability to work across multiple functions and disciplines.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises all phases of shipping and warehouse operations including shipping schedules, loading operations and material handling.
  • Maintains inventory and product loss control, coordinates timely and accurate shipping and receiving, and ensures safety/operational guidelines are met.
  • Ensures proper procedures are in place for production efficiency, quality of product, employee safety, and state and federal guidelines.
  • Works with plant management and other supervisory staff to assign, direct, review and monitor work of supervised staff to maximize productivity in warehouse and shipping department.
  • Establishes and monitors employees’ work schedules to meet needs of business.
  • Recommends improvements to reduce cost and drive productivity within the department while achieving Sales to Service Goals.

This includes planning, assigning and directing work, coordinating weekly Continuous Improvement (CI) meetings, addressing product and employee complaints, and resolving problems. Prepares reports formanagement review.· Ensures the warehouse work areas are clean and always organized.· Supervises and coordinates product rework activities.· Collaborates with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.· Provides supervision of assigned employees in scheduling and daily activities, ensuring effective selection, retention, feedback, disciplinary action and performance management. If a collective bargaining agreement exists, may participate in grievances, investigations or other contract relatedactivities and discussions.· Provides effective employee training and instruction.
