Job summary

Commercial Truck & Mobile Repair in Minnesota is seeking an experienced 2nd SHIFT DIESEL MECHANIC for a dedicated on-site role. You will troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair tractors and trailers, servicing all makes with Cat, Cummins, Detroit, Mercedes, Intl engines and Eaton/Allison transmissions.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of Diesel Technician experience, a valid driver's license (CDL-A preferred), and the ability to use an iPad to document repairs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• 3+ years of Diesel Technician experience preferred
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Valid Driver's License required
• CDL-A preferred but not required
• Ability to use iPad and associated apps
• Must provide own hand tools
• Proficient computer skills to document repairs and use email
• Must pass a drug test and background check

Responsibilities

• Repair and inspect Class 6-8 trucks (brakes, tires, wiring, etc.)
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and DOT inspections
• Repair or replace vehicle components
• Open/close repair orders on company issued iPad
• Obtain parts from local vendors and manage service-truck inventory
• Complete DOT forms and other documentation promptly
• Maintain productivity and meet SRT time targets
