Job summary

Rush Truck Centers in Florida (Haines City area) is seeking a Diesel Service Technician to provide service to customers, perform maintenance, inspection, and removal of parts with installation guided by manuals, and to document work with reports.

Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing trucks and engines, overhauling diesel engines, ensuring safety checks, tagging warranty parts, attending training, and developing strong customer relationships to drive satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2 years’ experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or related truck service facility.
• Must possess a current and valid driver license with a driving record that meets insurability guidelines set forth by the company’s insurance carrier.

• Overhaul gas or diesel engines.
• Read job order, observe and listen to vehicle in operation to determine malfunction and plan work procedures.

• Tag all warranty parts and returns to warranty clerk.
• Attend training classes and keep abreast of factory technical bulletins.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers to increase overall customer satisfaction.

Basic Qualifications:
