Job summary

Aeriz in Anna, IL is seeking a dependable Custodian/Housekeeper for the 2nd shift to maintain cleanliness and safety across the facility. The role runs Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, and includes routine cleaning, basic maintenance tasks, and sanitation record-keeping.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior experience in commercial cleaning, janitorial work, or facilities maintenance preferred.
• Must be self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
• An ability to safely use cleaning chemicals, tools, and equipment, including brooms, mops, and trash receptacles.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds unassisted.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and move continuously throughout the shift.
• Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks and maintain focus on detail-oriented duties for extended periods.
• Must be 21 years of age or older and authorized to work in the United States.
• Able to successfully register as an agent in state’s cannabis commission.
• Must adhere to all laws, regulations, and policies associated with the industry.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive cleaning of facility areas, including floors, bathrooms, and common spaces, following established sanitation procedures.
• Conduct routine janitorial tasks such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, and trash removal.
• Assist with deep cleaning tasks, including cleaning ceiling vents, light fixtures, walls, and other hard-to-reach areas.
• Prepare areas for cleaning by moving or covering furniture, equipment, and other items as needed.
• Perform minor maintenance and repairs, including painting, patching walls, and basic plumbing tasks.
• Safely handle and use cleaning chemicals, solutions, and equipment, ensuring compliance with safety guidelines and protocols.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all safety regulations to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Collaborate with other departments to assist with additional cleaning or maintenance tasks as required.
• Complete sanitation logs and documentation to track cleaning activities and ensure compliance with internal and external regulations.
