A leading supplier in flexible packaging seeks a Converting Set-Up Operator for the 2nd shift in St. Charles, Illinois. The role involves performing mechanical set-ups on flexible packaging equipment, maintaining production schedules, and ensuring safety and sanitation compliance. Ideal candidates will have strong mechanical skills, leadership abilities, and be physically capable of handling demanding tasks. A competitive salary range of $24 – $27/hour is offered along with bonuses and benefits.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years’ experience in a fast-paced production environment with mechanical set-ups.
• Willing to work overtime and capable of heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds).
• Demonstrate ability to follow company policies and AIB standards.

Galloway Consolidated Holdings, the parent company of Bema Incorporated, Elite Extrusion Technology and Bema Digital Innovations; a recognized leading supplier to the flexible packaging industry; is looking for an experienced Converting Set-Up Operator 2nd Shift (4PM – 2:30AM).

Salary Range: $24 – $27/Hourly

Responsibilities & Duties

• Perform mechanical set-ups on flexible packaging equipment: auto-wicketers and pouch machines.
• Maintain daily PM schedules.
• Identify and report machine breakdowns to maintenance in a timely manner.
• Enforce safety and sanitation regulations.
• 1-2 years’ experience in a fast-paced production environment, performing multiple set‑ups a day.
• Receive directions from supervisor and coordinate the activities of employees.
• Read and analyze work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports, to determine production requirements.

Qualifications & Skills

• Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to use hand tools.
• Some electrical experience helpful but not required.
• Demonstrate leadership skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Problem‑solving ability.

• Safety knowledge.
• Experience with auto‑wicketers and pouch machine a plus.
• Willing to work overtime.
• Physically demanding position: long periods standing, bending, squatting, reaching, and pulling. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Helps ensure all policies and procedures for the company and the American Institute of Baking (AIB) are followed.
