Job summary

Emerson in Pasadena, TX is seeking a Machinist to fabricate Fisher OEM control valve parts using manual and CNC lathe/mill operations. The role requires setting up, programming, and operating machines while ensuring safety and quality.

Travel may be required for field assignments. Qualified candidates have 5+ years in full-cycle machining, CAD/CAM MasterCam and SolidWorks experience, GD&T proficiency, and the ability to read engineering drawings.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or 7+ years of machining experience.
• 5+ years of full-cycle machining: programming, setup, and operation.
• MasterCam CAD/CAM and SolidWorks modeling.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Use of precision measuring instruments.
• Strong communication and customer relations.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Maintain personal and workplace safety and high housekeeping standards.
• Set up, indicate, and machine raw material to OEM print dimensions.
• Cross-train on all machines to prevent production lapses (including engine lathes, manual drills, bandsaws, CNC lathes, VTLs, HBMs, CNC mills).
• Understand material hardness, cutting tools, speeds and feeds, coolant requirements, and machining techniques.
• Interpret GD&T per part drawings.
• Occasional field assignments with potential travel.
• Adhere to safety, quality, and environmental regulations.
