Job summary

Regal Rexnord is seeking a CNC Machinist at Arrowhead Conveyor on site in Oshkosh, WI. This role involves operating CNC Mills and Lathes, downloading/editing programs, and performing jig/fixture setups with a focus on accuracy and safety.

You will manage tool inventory, set up blocking, select speeds/feeds, and document labor and material movements to support production schedules.

Qualifications

• GED or High school diploma with 2+ years CNC experience or training.
• Ability to perform basic calculations (percentages, area, circumference, volume).
• Ability to solve practical problems with varying variables and read/write/follow instructions.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Transform blueprint information into the workpiece.
• Maintain tooling stock and box dull tooling.
• Use measuring tools (tape measure, calipers, micrometers) accurately.
• Fabricate and set up jigs and fixtures; manage inventory and work orders.
• Plan setups with blocking, aligning, and securing pieces, jigs, fixtures.
• Select speeds, feeds, tooling and sequences for materials and operations.
• Set up and operate CNC milling machine and CNC lathe.
• Complete labor, material, and kit reports accurately.

Job description

Work Model: This is a fully onsite role, with work performed at your designated Regal Rexnord office.

Position Summary

The CNC Machinist position at Arrowhead Conveyor is knowledgeable in operation of CNC Mills and lathes equipment and functions, as well as schedules and inventory procedures. This position is knowledgeable in downloading programs, editing of programs, CNC fixturing/setup, and performing layout duties.

Major Responsibilities

• Transformation of blueprint information to the workpiece.
• Maintenance of tooling stock. Includes coordination and boxing of dull tooling.
• Understanding of and ability to utilize a tape measure, square and scribe, calipers, protractor, punch and micrometers.
• Knowledgeable in all aspects of jigs and fixtures; justification, ability to fabricate, make setups involving blocking, aligning, and securing pieces, maintain inventory and procedures to record on work orders.
• Plan and make setups involving blocking, aligning, and securing of work pieces, jigs, and fixtures.
• Selection of proper speeds and feeds, tooling, and operational sequences best suited to materials and nature of operation.
• Setup, adjust and operate CNC milling machine and CNC lathe.
• Proper and accurate completion of labor reports, material issues, Kit lists, scrap reports and material moves.
• Performance of cycle counts as prescribed by Production and Inventory Control.
• Interpretation of work orders, blueprints, and bills of material.
• Inventory and distribution maintaining tooling stock such as: drill bits, countersinks, keyway tooling, milling cutters, taps, pipe taps, spot faces, scribes, and other miscellaneous machine shop equipment.
• Knowledgeable regarding production schedules and ability to track releases.
• Recording and maintenance of jig fixture records.
• Competent use of hand, bench, and light machine operations to perform deburring, filing, grinding and polishing on sawed and machined parts.

Required Education / Experience / Skills

• GED or High school diploma along with two or more years related CNC experience and/or training.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Handle multiple projects simultaneously.
