Job summary

Orion Castings is seeking a motivated General Machine Operator for its North Billerica, MA facility. This entry-level role trains you to operate CNC machinery, load/unload parts, run cycles, and monitor equipment to ensure smooth production.

You will work with a team to uphold high quality standards while maintaining a clean and safe work environment. A strong safety mindset and reliability are essential as you grow into potential specialized machining or quality roles.

• No prior machine experience required; full hands-on training provided.

Responsibilities

• Learn to safely load and unload casting components into CNC production machinery.
• Use basic measuring tools to inspect machined parts (training provided).
• Maintain production rates and workflow.
• Report defects, variances, or hazardous conditions to the shift supervisor.
• Conduct continuous quality inspections and maintain logs.
• Follow all work instructions and safety procedures (OSHA compliance).
• Perform other production and housekeeping duties as assigned.
