JBS USA is seeking an Auto Mechanic Tech to maintain farm vehicles and machinery, ensuring compliance with state and federal codes. You will inspect, repair, and document work, while coordinating with the service manager for additional tasks.

The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and reliable operation of equipment on-site. The position requires basic to intermediate mechanical skills, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift heavy objects.

• Able to repair tires and safely operate tire repair equipment.
• Able to change oil and service naturally aspirated vehicles.

• Ability to bend, move, lift and perform duties; able to lift >50lbs.
• Team oriented, self-motivated and strong work ethic.
• Efficiently multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with Bio-Security and swine production.
• Proven safety track and awareness.

Description

Nature of Position: This position is responsible for assisting the farm in maintaining work vehicles, farm machinery, and any equipment in working condition. This position will also be responsible for ensuring all vehicles and work equipment meet State and Federal codes and requirements. The Auto Mechanic Tech recognizes the contributions of every team member and encourages team work and maintaining good relationships in the execution of the farm goals and expectations. The Auto Mechanic Tech promotes the safety and wellbeing of all team members.

Essential Functions

• Mechanics will cater to the specific needs of each repair order efficiently and accurately. This must be done within both DOT and factory requirements.
• Mechanics will perform vehicle repairs within their current capability/skill level.
• In depth examination of any vehicle, to determine if any safety or service work is needed or recommended.
• Clearly documents and records work that is performed on the repair order under his/her supervision.
• Effectively communicate with the designated service manager or advisor when the above adjustments and additional work is needed.
• Road tests vehicles when required or refers to the test technician / service manager.
• Ability to perform any additional related duties as required and assigned by service manager.

Job Qualifications

• Some experience as an Automotive Technician / Mechanic
• Valid Driver’s License is a must
• Ability to bend, move, lift and physically perform duties in the scope of this position.
• Ability to lift more than 50lbs regularly
• Proficiency in the use of common mechanic shop tools
• Be a team oriented, self-motivated and positive individual with strong work ethic
• Ability to efficiently multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with Bio-Security and swine production
• Proven safety track and awareness
