Job summary

Peoplemark in Owensboro, Kentucky is seeking an entry level Manufacturing position. Responsibilities include manual assembly of molded and purchased components, and operating automated or semi-automated equipment.

The role is Monday–Friday, 3:00 pm–11:30 pm with overtime, including Saturdays at times. Casual dress code. You may also assist in the Packaging Department. Weekly pay at $14.50 per hour.

• Hand/finger dexterity and eye/hand coordination are essential.
• Entry level manufacturing role with attention to quality.

Responsibilities

• Manual assembly of injection molding and purchased components into semi-finished products.
• Operate automated or semi-automated machines and test products against quality criteria.
• Feed machine components to prevent downtime and input data into SAP.
• Inspect products for defects before packing and label correctly for shipment.
• Assist in packaging tasks as needed and direct products to proper pallets.

Job description

Entry Level Manufacturing position

$14.50 per hour (paid weekly)

Monday - Friday 3pm - 11:30pm with overtime through the week to include Saturdays (at times)

Casual dress code: jeans or khaki pants, tennis shoes and t‑shirt are fine.

As a second shift Assembler, you may also be required to complete tasks for the Packaging Department as well.

Duties to include, but not limited to:

• Manual assembly of injection molding and/or purchased components into semi‑finished products
• Work with automated/semi‑automated machines
• Testing product according to quality criteria
• Feed machine components as needed to prevent down time etc
• Ability to read, understand and follow oral and written operational procedures to safely and efficiently perform essential functions and have sufficient hand/finger dexterity and eye/hand coordination

Packing expectations to include, but not limited to:

• Ensuring all products are packed, labeled correctly and moving them to the appropriate areas for shipment
• Must be able to input data into SAP (inventory system)
• Use of scanners, printing labels for products
• Calculate piece counts from piece weights and perform basic functions on a calculator
• Must be able to move product with pallet jacks and 2-wheelers
• Inspect all products for quality defects prior to packing
• Operates auto bagger and manual bagger machines
• Be able to determine from an open order status which customer ordered which product and place the product on the proper pallet for shipment
• Must be able to determine how to package all products from the packing work instructions

Hand‑eye, finger dexterity is a requirement in being successful in this role.
