Job summary

Manpower in Dixon, IL is seeking an assembler with a strong mechanical aptitude to join our manufacturing team. This is a 2nd shift position, with training on the 1st shift to start immediately.

Responsibilities include assembling components from blueprints, reading BOMs, using measuring tools, and maintaining quality and safety standards. Physical work involves lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for long periods.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read a tape measure and convert fractions/decimals.
• Mechanical aptitude and assembly experience a plus.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs., stand, walk, bend, and work in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble components using blueprints and work instructions.
• Read bills of materials and use measuring tools.
• Use hand and power tools safely.
• Tag and label finished products.
• Maintain quality standards and a safe work environment.
• Cross-train in other departments as needed.
