Job summary

Caterpillar in Sanford, NC is seeking an assembler to join our 2nd shift team. You will follow documented procedures to assemble parts, apply lean practices, and use power tools to move heavy components.

This role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and teamwork, with a focus on completing standard work within short cycle times and cross-training across areas. We offer Day ONE benefits, a quarterly bonus program, and a comprehensive total rewards package.

Qualifications

• 6 months of previous work experience.
• Willing and able to sit or stand for prolonged periods.
• Willing and able to perform repetitive operations.
• Willing and able to lift to 35 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Follow documented procedures to perform safe and defect-free assembly and adjustment of parts and components.
• Leverage lean manufacturing concepts to support continuous improvement and waste elimination.
• Use industrial power tools for assembly and lifting devices to move heavy components.
• Be held accountable for completing standard work within the allotted cycle time (approximately 3–15-minute cycle time).
• Cross-train across work areas and ability to learn new work areas.
